Sunday Worship

Every Sunday we gather to worship at 10am and at the moment this is at Barton Neighbourhood Centre. Each week we celebrate together, sing a mix of old hymns and new songs, pray and hear God’s word read and preached from the Bible and often celebrate Holy Communion where we remember the death of Jesus using the physical signs of bread and wine to share.

The picture opposite shows our outdoor worship.

Groups for all ages

At St Mary’s all ages are valued as part of our community from the littlest to the eldest. We have an activity group for children as part of our Sunday morning worship where volunteers share age-appropriate activities which are fun for the children and they rejoin us later on in the service..

Midweek small groups

One of the best ways to get to know people better at St Mary’s and to continue to grow in your faith and walk with God is to join one of our midweek small groups. We have a number of groups meeting evenings and daytime across the area. Find out about a group near you by emailing info@stmarysbarton.com

Other activities

During the time that we are not meeting in our own building there are not so many midweek groups but we continue with a Coffee and Craft Group on Mondays.

When we return to the church builkding we hope to continue with Barton Growers - a community gardening group, a community drop-in and various courses which help people think through the issues going on for them. All of these groups offer a great welcome to anyone from the community who would like to join. If you’d like to find out anymore about these groups email info@stmarysbarton.com
